The ROMP Hype is a slightly curved silicone g-spot vibrator with a squishy tip and smooth ridges on the inside of its curved shaft. It’s surprisingly well-powered for its price (under $40) and comes with a 2-year warranty. It’s a solid vibrator for the price – here’s our quick take on it!
ROMP Hype Vibe at a Glance

Unboxing & Inspection
The ROMP Hype comes in a matching bright orange-red box. This is a vibrant toy. Not the sexiest color scheme out there… 😂 BUT it’s a fantastic price point (under $40) and comes with all the perks of the ROMP brand, which is Womanizer’s budget line. ROMP toys are well-powered, simple to operate, and come with a 2-year warranty.
The Hype has a slight bend to its shaft with a series of gently sculpted ribs on the inside of its curve. Its silicone is firm until you reach about 1/2″ from the tip, where the silicone gives much more and feels squishy. It’s got a 2-button interface, one power button and one mode button. You hold the power button for 2 seconds to power on/off and short press the mode button to cycle through its 6 speeds and 4 patterns.
Hype’s charging cable has a yellow charging pin that you insert into the charging hole on the back. It can run for 60 mins on a 180 mins charge. This is kind of a low run time to charge time ratio, so obviously an area where the manufacturer cut costs. Hype’s indicator light should blink while charging and remain on once fully charged.
Included Documentation
The Hype comes with a pamphlet that covers how to use, clean and charge it. Here’s an online version of its user manual.
My Experience with the ROMP Hype Vibe
The Hype honestly was a decent surprise. Though simple, it’s got the nice details like its squishy tip and low ridges on the inside of its curve that feel nice when used externally like a wand. Its soft tip is perfect for teasing clit or nipples, and you can grind or rub on those ridges.
There is a slight flex to the ROMP Hype’s shaft, but it’s not overly flexible or bendy; it’s just enough firmness to work on your g-spot. However, I enjoy a little more curvature to a g-spot toy or more firmness in one with this type of curve. I need the leverage, personally. I still enjoy its shape though, especially the feeling of the ridges on my labia if I’m slowly plunging the Hype in and out. The Hype also gets ever so slightly wider from about 1-3″ from its squishy tip, so it gently enhances that feeling of fullness for a more sensitive user.
Hype has 6 speeds of continuous vibration and then 4 patterns. These modes are on a loop, so after you pass the fourth and final pattern, you’ll return to the lowest vibration setting.
The Hype feels mid-way between rumbly and buzzy, maybe more like a growling, gentle rumble at its lowest settings. If you’re looking for something rumblier for internal use, I’d suggest the Pillow Talk Sassy, but keep in mind that it doesn’t have patterns. I’d describe the Hype’s patterns as follows:
1- quick pulse
2- slow rise and fall
3- slower pulse
4- super slow rise and fall
For its range and power, the ROMP Hype is remarkably quiet! It only registered at around ~34dB for me during testing (highest speed, about 10 ft away). Another perk: I don’t feel much of the vibration in my hand, especially if I’ve got most of my fingers positioned on the top of the curve rather than the underside.
Final Thoughts
The ROMP Hype is a g-spot vibrator that has lots going for it: it’s mid-way between rumbly and buzzy, works great too as an external wand, it’s quiet, waterproof, budget friendly (under $40), and has a 2-year warranty. I recommend it!
